Oakmeeds Community College is situated near the town centre of Burgess Hill, West Sussex, on a 30 acre site. In 1982 the College became a Community School with responsibility for Adult Education and Youth activities and became the main agent of Lifelong Learning within the Burgess Hill Community. In 1999 Oakmeeds was promoted to a Community College.
The College is considered to be one of the most improved schools in West Sussex. GCSE results published in National Performance Tables pushed Oakmeeds into the country's top 100 improving schools during the period 1995-1999. In addition to excellent achievement in public exams, Oakmeeds provides a broad and diverse curriculum that is designed to meet the needs of all pupils.
